There are some who can bet on a series. I like to bet series in baseball but I really don't have series betting refined in the WNBA.
I prefer to bet based upon the results from a previous game or previous series and then finding an advantage from that. That's what makes 2nd halfs so nice is that you can often find out how the 2nd half will go based upon the 1st half play.

i took sparks +125 to win it all when the playoffs began so i am sitting pretty. it is very tempting to consider hedging and getting detroit +175ish - but i sense the wnba playoffs will be just like the nba playoffs - in that the west beats the lame and pathetic team from the east. i wanna see detroit play well under the pressure here - something i doubt they will do.
I'm going with Detroit +6 for the game [1/2 unit]. Detroit looked good in each of their road games in the 1st 2 series. LA went to the wire against Sac at home.

That's why I would typically go with Detroit for the 2nd half but I don't know what the spread is since Pinnacle is down. I heard that it's under a "denial of service" attack from hackers. That's where all the bandwidth to the place is used up.

LA was too much for the Shock. Detroit came within 11 points late but it wasn't enough due to the LA lead. Lost 1/2 unit there.
Detroit came back in the 2nd half. That's why I bet a full unit for the second half to win 0.50 unit over all. Can it really be this easy???
I love when teams win big at home. Detroit will be psyched to get up big in the 1st half of the second game so unless they are favored by too much I will take them to win that half. We'll have to wait to see what the line is.

Believe me winky, the thought crossed my mind of how good the Sparks are. But these WNBA games are based upon motivation.

Saving the big plays for the 2H. I think this one goes over.
DET missed a lot of easy lay-ups in game #1 which they should make today. LA was very aggressive (two T's?) and with a different set of refs this afternoon may lose a couple of their starters to fouls. DET was solid on the glass, outrebounding LA 41-39 including 16-10 in terms of O boards.
Leslie saying Riley can't defend her should inspire Ruth to a big game. I think Leslie sits early due to foul trouble.
